VHO – On the evening of December 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang Province organized the launch of the Then Singing, Tinh Musical Instrument, Folk Songs and Folk Dance Club of Residential Group 2, Nung Tri Cao Ward, with the aim of effectively implementing Project No. 6 on ‘Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in association with tourism development.

The club was established and put into operation, contributing to the effective implementation of Project No. 6 in Cao Bang Province.

The Then Singing, Tinh Musical Instrument, Folk Songs and Folk Dance Club of Residential Group 2, Nung Tri Cao Ward, was launched with 20 members, including folk artisans, cultural activists, and individuals with talent and passion for Tày and Nùng ethnic folk singing, who are currently residing in Nung Tri Cao Ward, Cao Bang Province.

The club’s operation has created a useful platform for members to exchange and promote traditional cultural values.

During the process of establishing the club model, the Cao Bang Provincial Center for Culture and Tourism Information conducted surveys, field investigations, and meetings with residential groups and households to reach consensus on the operational model. As a result, two artisans knowledgeable in the traditional culture of the Tày and Nùng ethnic groups were selected, and 20 members with a passion for traditional folk culture were voluntarily mobilized to participate.

In the training sessions, the Cao Bang Provincial Center for Culture and Tourism Information provided musical instruments, costumes, and professional staff to guide rehearsals, gradually forming artistic performances to serve community activities, preserve heritage, and promote local tourism development.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the decision to establish and officially launch the Then Singing, Tinh Musical Instrument, Folk Songs and Folk Dance Club of Residential Group 2, Nung Tri Cao Ward, with 20 members. This meaningful activity aims to effectively implement Project No. 6 on ‘Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in association with tourism development’ in Cao Bang Province.

The club was launched and put into operation on a voluntary basis, with the mission of preserving, safeguarding, and promoting the values of folk songs, Then singing, and the Tinh musical instrument, thereby contributing to the protection and transmission of intangible cultural heritage values in Nung Tri Cao Ward

On this occasion, members of the club presented a special art program featuring Then melodies and Tinh music rich in ethnic identity, creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere and leaving a deep impression on delegates and local residents in attendance.
