On the evening of May 16th, at Kim Dong pedestrian street (Cao Bang city), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province organized a program to announce the cross-border tourism route between Cao Bang city (Vietnam) and Baise city, Guangxi (China).

Attending the meeting, on the Cao Bang side were Mr. Trinh Truong Huy, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Sam Viet An, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Cao Bang Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives from several provincial departments and agencies, the People's Committees of several districts and cities; and representatives from several tourism and travel service businesses.

On the Baise, Guangxi (China) side were Mr. Lu Ba, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Baise City Party Committee, Party Secretary, and Director of the Baise City Culture, Communication, Sports and Tourism Bureau; representatives from the Culture, Communication, Sports and Tourism Bureaus of several counties in Guangxi; and representatives from several tourism service businesses in Guangxi (China).

Comrade Sam Viet An, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province, delivered a speech.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Comrade Sam Viet An emphasized: Cao Bang is a land blessed by nature with many beautiful landscapes. The Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark has been recognized by UNESCO as a Global Geopark, with geological, geomorphological, and historical values ​​deeply rooted in cultural identity. The coexistence of many ethnic groups in one region has created a colorful cultural tapestry for Cao Bang, enriching the heritage of Vietnam and humanity.

In recent years, border tourism has received significant attention from the province and has achieved many outstanding results. On October 15, 2024, the Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) scenic area officially commenced operation after more than a year of piloting for cross-border tourism. This marks a significant milestone in the tourism development cooperation between Vietnam and China. The two-country, two-region cooperation model is a bright spot, an unprecedented model in cross-border economic cooperation, especially in the tourism sector, aiming to build a model for cross-border tourism and green tourism. Furthermore, after the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) border gate was upgraded to an international border gate (December 2023), the Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Jingxi City (Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China) tourism program has become one of the most attractive products for tourists.

During the announcement ceremony, representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang Province, Vietnam, and representatives from the Bureau of Culture, Communication, Sports and Tourism of Baise City, Guangxi, China, jointly pressed the button to inaugurate the cross-border tourism route between Cao Bang City (Vietnam) and Baise City, Guangxi (China), and vice versa.

The opening of the tourism route between Cao Bang City (Vietnam) and Baise City (China), and vice versa, is an opportunity for both sides to continue developing and diversifying tourism products and enhancing the core value of the culture and tourism industry. This exchange and cooperation also opens opportunities for both sides to learn and share experiences in managing and developing sustainable tourism; exchange on tourism marketing strategies, tourism management, and environmental protection; Maintaining cross-border tourism markets and products contributes to promoting the culture and people of both countries, creating unique cross-border tourism brands for both sides.

Delegates, local people, and tourists visited the space promoting the culture and tourism of Cao Bang.

On this occasion, in order to widely promote the tourism image between the two localities of the two countries to the people and tourists, activities such as: an exhibition of beautiful photos of Cao Bang's Non Nuoc tourism and the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark; and a display and introduction of tourism promotional publications, products, and tour routes of the two localities took place in Cao Bang city.
