Cao Bang sticky rice (also known as Khau Phjang) is a famous specialty from Trung Khanh district. It has round, plump, ivory-white grains with a rich, natural aroma and is extremely sticky and soft when cooked. Often organically grown along the Quay Son River, it is the main ingredient in many characteristic sticky rice dishes and cakes of Cao Bang.
