The Phai Khat fort is the site of the first battle fought by the Vietnam Liberation Propaganda Team after its formation. Located in Tam Kim commune, 7km from the Tran Hung Dao forest, at 5 PM on December 25, 1944, the Vietnam Liberation Propaganda Team, along with local people, annihilated and captured the enemy commander and all his soldiers, seizing their weapons. This victory marked the beginning of the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, which has won countless battles.
