The Eye of the Mountain God, located about 2 km from Thang Hen Lake, is known locally as “Phja Piót,” meaning “hollowed mountain.” The Eye of the Mountain God is actually a circular cave through the back of the mountain, with a diameter of over 50 meters, situated at an altitude of approximately 50 meters above the lake at the foot of the mountain. It is a heritage site of international value within the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark. In 2021, the Eye of the Mountain God was recognized as a national scenic spot. Viewed from above, the scenery here appears like a poetic painting, with the clear blue waters of Nam Cha Lake, covering about 15 hectares, rafts gliding gently on the water, surrounded by towering mountains.

It is most beautiful during the dry season, from September onwards, when the water recedes, revealing vast expanses of lush green grass on the hillsides, ideal for outdoor activities and picnics. Not far from the Eye of the Mountain God is Nam Cha Waterfall.

The waterfall isn't very high, but its many winding streams flow between jagged gray rocks, creating a fairytale-like beauty that captivates visitors and makes them want to linger.
